CONTACT MINISTRIES – BMIC CHARITY GOLF PARTNER!
Sunday, May 30th, 2010Since 1978, Contact has served the Springfield community with joy, gladness and the Blessings of Christ. Situated on 11th Street, it was started by five area churches. Now under new management and led by a Godly man – Bill Kienzle, and a new board of Christian servants (President Jennifer Isringhausen), Contact has been a true blessing to this community.
Over the coming weeks, after the Annual Golf outing, we will be addressing the growing and critical needs of the Shelter and how ANYONE, regardless of station in life, can become involved!
WALK THE TALK! Support LOCAL patients with Lou Gehrig’s Disease!
Thursday, May 13th, 2010There are so many great causes and Missions to support and bless in this thriving “metropolis” of Springfield and it’s surrounding towns. Coming up in from now until the end of June, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life has many events around the town. Check the local State Journal-Register for more information.
B.M.I.C. has our annual Charity event which supports three homeless missions and our two permanent missionaries, as lives continue to be transformed.
Here is a great opportunity to both get some early morning exercise and support funding for victims of this horrible, fatal disease – ALS (known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). This thing is no respector of person or class. If you wish to walk and/or donate, even $5 or $10, click here.
The Walk takes place at Washington Park on Saturday June 19, 2010 at 10am. Registration begins at 9am. Walk a mile to put a smile on an ALS patient’s face!
