The answer to the question above – we would all go to hell, a literal fiery hell, without Jesus dying on the Cross!  Even if He had hung there, and as some liberal “theologians” in Princeton and other over-educated homes of apostasy postulate, AND had then been rescued by 10,000 Angels…we would still be going to hell. There would have been no satisfaction (or as the Bible calls it – PROPIATION) for Sin, period!

With our puny little minds, we could never understand the God of the Universe, the Creator Jesus, the Ancient of Days, agreeing with the Father to pour Himself out into the womb of a young woman to live as a mere mortal and then let men humiliate, beat and torture Him to death. We can NEVER grasp the full meaning of that until we get to heaven…those who make it through accepting Him as Lord of their lives for Salvation NOW, trusting Him and believing that it was our sin which killed the Son of God.

Many of us grew up without earthly fathers and hence, no example when we, ourselves, became fathers. Sure it was easy to go to all the conferences and classes etc at church. We listened to Dobson and his radio programs, even watched “The Cosby Show” back in the 1980’s.  

But you know, when you think about it , there is only one real way to learn to be a man of God and the father He called you to be – and that is, to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave us these commands as men in  Deuteronomy 6: 6-8 (And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.  Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders). This is the chapter on the Responsibility of Each Man towards his own children. Live them, learn them and impart them, because we will be held accountable on day for them. 

On our dying beds,  we would like to know, even if not in words, that our kids wanted to be like us because we only wanted to be like our own Father in Heaven. This song will encourage all fathers to be better men and examples in the coming year, because being a father, next to being a man of God, is the most important thing we will EVER be in life.
