This entire concept (of a “devious heart”) goes completely against every western concept that we are really “good people”. You would never hear about the “fallen nature” of man, or corruption of the human race; or even the word “sin”. The most famous verse in Scripture about “feet” is most uplifting. The Word says from Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him Who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation….and says to Zion “Your God reigns!” These are the feet, which are when shod in the shoes of the Gospel (the part of the Armor defined in Ephesians 6: ), brings the approval of the Lord.
