NEW LIFE- A MONTH OF VERSES: JANUARY 5, 2017

Thursday, January 5th, 2017

VERSE: Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. (1 Peter 3:15)

EQUATION: Accept the Lordship of Christ > Yourself + Knowledge of the Holy= Ability to Evangelize in Love.

ACTION: Modern free grace tells new recruits to Christianity that accepting Jesus “in your heart” is all you need for heaven. SHORT CIRCUIT! Sanctify Christ AS LORDmeans one thing – accepting Him as Lord and Master. This is the main qualifier for the true believer to share the Gospel effectively, according to Scripture.

PRAYER: Most High God, Creator and Keeper of the Universe, Thou art most worthy of Praise, Glory and Honor and we worship You and You alone, in the Name of Thy Son – my Lord and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Help us to comprehend what You are saying because it is so simple, we miss it on purpose! We refuse to submit to the Lordship of Christ because we want to make our own choices in life. However, You have made it clear that it is this same fact, from this verse, which will enable us FULLY to comprehend the Gospel of Hope, Love and Heaven so completely, that the overflow from our collective submissive hearts, will flow out to those around us. It is only in this way, many will even grasp Your true love, grace, mercy and long-suffering and the free gift of salvation and eternal life. Help us to be glued to this Truth, Almighty God, in Jesus’ Holy Name, we pray. Amen

MYTH BUSTED: MARY AND JOSEPH – NOT HOMELESS, NOT REFUGEES

VICTIMS OF ROMAN OPPRESSION AND TAXATION

Each year around Christmas time, we hear a lot of talk of Joseph and Mary, the first family of the Bible, being either homeless or refugees. The purveyors of this social justice misinformation assume that Christians do not read the Bible and thus, know the Gospel Truth! How can anyone read the following and come to the conclusion that (the then-baby) Jesus and His earthly parents were homeless and/or refugees is sophistry.  The underlying basis of this untruth is the inability of Joseph, the caretaker guardian parent of the yet-unborn Jesus Christ to find lodging in Bethlehem for his very pregnant wife, Mary and himself.

Luke 2:1-7: And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn……
