JESUSFEST, the FREE ANNUAL BMIC CHRISTIAN FAMILY EVENT, IS THIS COMING SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 9, FROM 4 PM – 7 PM Central Time.  The popular contemporary band from the St. Louis region – THE GREAT ROMANCE – finally appears in Springfield to headline JESUSFEST 7 (see video here). Opening for The Great Romance is local Gospel and Jazz musician Roddrick Lemar of Springfield, Il. Roddrick and his popular church praise team and band just returned from a very successful engagement in Toronto, Canada.

Filling in the music line-up are Anthony Decerbo, hip hop singer from Champaign and Daniel Wilson of Cowboy Church, Clementine at North 11th Street and Percy. Dan Wilson and Bernie Lutchman will perform some country gospel with Brian Powell on drums. Pastor Kevin Hutton, formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee and now Decatur will bring his wonderful Ventriloquist act to entertain and evangelize. There will also be four canvas paintings by Speed Painter Matt Lovell of Beardstown. Many local exhibitors and vendors will be present and food will be available for sale at the adjacent Hardees restaurant.
