JESUSFEST 4 THIS SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20, 2014
Thursday, September 18th, 2014
When we started what is now JesusFest in Auburn, Illinois exactly four years ago, it was a long 6 hour concert with one band after another way past dark, at the East Park. It has since evolved into a more compact and fast moving showcase of local and regional talent, presented to our fellow citizens for FREE! JESUSFEST 4 kicks off this coming Saturday September 20 at the Bandshell of Rock and Roll Hardees, 2501 Stevenson Drive in Springfield at 4pm!
First up will be the Chosen Generation ministry Band led by Don Hunt. A lively combination of gospel singers, Christian Rappers and for the first time, a group from Taylorville, Illinois. The main attraction this year is the first Power Team we ever had at a Business Men In Christ event. The Mighty Crush 3 Power Team is officially from Litchfield, Illinois and is led by pastor and body-builder Kevin Simsberger! You won’t want to miss this. The Power Team comes on around 6:30pm at the Rock and Roll Hardees Bandshell and their message is powerful, as well as their various feats of strength.
JesusFest is timed annually to fall close to the month of October, where we recognize and honor Breast Cancer Month. A rep from the American Cancer Society will be present.
BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS AND BE PREPARED TO BE BLESSED AND ENTERTAINED!
J-FEST ’13 – THE BEST

One of the major goals I have in bringing these free outdoor Christian concerts to various parts of the city and the county in coming months and years is to bring the joyful news of the Kingdom to areas given up by the church, to worldly systems. The first one, though too long by a few hours, happened in Auburn, Illinois in October 2011. JesusFest 2 was at the brand new SouthWinds Park (just on the outskirts of town) in October 2012 and the recently concluded JesusFest 3 brought the powerful message of Jesus to the South East Laketown area of Springfield.
So many hearts were touched, we were invited to do an event there monthly. If I had the resources and could, I would do that, just to reach that part of the city which has the biggest strip-club between Chicago and St. Louis – Deja Vu! God alone knows how many people’s lives – from marriages to the young women who peddle their flesh there – have been completely destroyed by this so-called “gentleman’s club”. No real gentleman will be caught dead in a place like that – EVER!
