GROW IN HOLINESS

When we think of the term“Unconditional Surrender”, the image of Defeat comes to mind. When a nation is vanquished in war, as Japan was in 1945, the Emperor had to surrender without conditions to the United States of America. The terms of post-surrender are different from the actual act of giving up all weapons and rights to aggressive action. During World War II, for the guarantee of peace, the Japanese had to give up every aspect of any militaristic aggression. It was dropping all weapons PLUS…..a lot of current and future actions.

In the Spiritual Realm, which is not just important in the long run, but now, for life as a Christian….

1    Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.

The Christian life today is no picnic. Sin, the flesh and temptation are everywhere. There is also a daily piling on of bad news. Each day brings a new horror of the “people of the Book (the Bible)” as some call our brethren in distant lands, are routinely persecuted, martyred and more. The Easter Sunday 2019 church destruction by terrorists, while Christians were gathered for worship in Sri Lanka, stunned the world as over 400 perished. Churches are still closed, weeks after this horrible event.most of the Psalms, we must shine.
